The FINANCIAL — Since the beginning of 2016/17 MY, Ukraine exported 20.061 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 0.88 mln tonnes compared with the same period last year, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on December 15.
In particular, wheat exports totaled 10.6 mln tonnes (up 1.1 mln tonnes compared with the same period in 2015/16 MY), corn – 5.3 mln tonnes (down 0.45 mln tonnes), and barley – 4 mln tonnes (up 0.2 mln tonnes). Also, Ukrainian flour export volumes reached 165 thsd tonnes, according to APK-Inform.
Traditionally, Asian and African countries are the largest importers of Ukrainian grains: Egypt, China, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, etc., informed the Ministry.
