The FINANCIAL — As of the beginning of the second decade of October, Ukraine harvested nearly 41 mln tonnes of grains with the average yield of 28.8 c/ha, declared the press-cutting service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
According to the announcement, agrarians harvested 2.72 mln tonnes of maize, 218 thsd tonnes of buckwheat, 139 thsd tonnes of millet. Agricultural economies of Ukraine also harvested nearly 5 mln tonnes of sunflower with the average yield of 15.2 c/ha.
As of the beginning of the second decade of October, agrarians sowed winter grains throughout 5.7 mln ha.
As a reminder, according to forecasts of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in the current year. Grain harvest in Ukraine will total nearly 45 mln tonnes as opposed to 53.3 mln tonnes last year.
