The FINANCIAL — As of August 31, Ukraine harvested 37.463 mln tonnes of grains (including corn) throughout the areas of 9.767 mln ha (67% of the plan). The average yield totaled 3.84 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine already completed the harvesting campaign of early grains: the production totaled 37.299 mln tonnes of grains, the average yield – 3.86 t/ha, and the harvested areas – 9.658 mln ha (100%).
Agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 50 thsd ha (27%), and produced 55 thsd tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 1.1 t/ha, according to APK-Inform.
As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 38 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 25 thsd ha (45%), with the yield at 1.48 t/ha.
Ukraine started harvesting corn for grain. Agrarians harvested 20 thsd tonnes of corn throughout 5 thsd ha, with the average yield at 3.78 t/ha.
Also, agrarians continued harvesting oilseed crops. So, Ukraine harvested 199 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 130 thsd ha (2%), with the average yield at 1.53 t/ha. The production volumes of soybeans reached 20 thsd tonnes, the yield – 1.66 t/ha, and the harvested areas – 12 thsd ha (1%).
