Ukraine harvested over 40 mln tonnes of grains

The FINANCIAL — As of September 24, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 40.094 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 11.019 mln ha, or 75% of the plan. The average yield totaled 3.64 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukraine harvested corn grain throughout 566 thsd ha (14%), the produced volumes reached 2.49 mln tonnes, with the yield of 4.4 t/ha, according to APK-Inform.

Ukrainian agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 108 thsd ha (82%). The production volumes totaled 127 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.17 t/ha. Also, agrarians harvested 199 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 99 thsd ha (92%), with the yield of 2.01 t/ha.

Also, agrarians continued providing the mass harvesting campaign of sunflower seed. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 5.719 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout 2.804 mln ha (56%). The average yield totaled 2.04 t/ha.

Ukraine already produced 1.478 mln tonnes of soybeans. The harvested areas reached 859 thsd ha (40%), with the yield of 1.72 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, agricultural producers planted winter grains throughout 2.462 mln ha (33%), including 2.325 mln ha of winter wheat and triticale, 81 thsd ha of winter rye, 57 thsd ha of winter barley. In addition, agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 555 thsd ha (67%).
