The FINANCIAL — As of October 11, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 46.668 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 11.403 mln ha, or 80% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.09 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 47.2 mln tonnes.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 7.806 mln tonnes of the grain throughout 1.419 mln ha (33%). The average yield reached 5.5 t/ha, according to APK-Inform.
Also, Ukraine harvested 182 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 142 thsd ha (95%). The average yield totaled 1.27 t/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 101 thsd ha (97%). The production volumes totaled 183 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.82 t/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 9.871 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 4.514 mln ha (76%), with the average yield of 2.19 t/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 2.691 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.245 mln ha (68%), with the average yield of 2.16 t/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of October 11, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 4.886 mln ha (66% of the plan), down 383 thsd ha compared with the same date last year.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 4.452 mln ha (72%), winter rye – 135 thsd ha (92%), and winter barley – 299 thsd ha (29%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 758 thsd ha (105%), up 151 thsd ha compared with the last year index.
