Ukraine harvested over 47.2 mln tonnes of grains

The FINANCIAL — As of October 12, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 47.213 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 12.385 mln ha, or 85% of the plan. The average yield totaled 3.81 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukraine harvested corn grain throughout 1.892 mln ha (46%), the produced volumes reached 9.477 mln tonnes, with the yield of 5.01 t/ha, according to APK-Inform.

Ukrainian agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 117 thsd ha (88%). The production volumes totaled 136 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.17 t/ha. Also, agrarians harvested 207 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 103 thsd ha (96%), with the yield of 2 t/ha.

Also, as of the reporting date Ukraine harvested 9.624 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 4.537 mln ha (91%). The average yield totaled 2.12 t/ha.

Ukraine already produced 2.751 mln tonnes of soybeans. The harvested areas reached 1.594 mln ha (74%), with the yield of 1.73 t/ha.

As of October 12, agricultural producers planted winter grains throughout 5.269 mln ha (71%), including 4.769 mln ha of winter wheat and triticale, 134 thsd ha of winter rye, and 366 thsd ha of winter barley.
