The FINANCIAL — As of November 8, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 57.23 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 13.017 mln ha, or 91% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.4 t/ha, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 57.7 mln tonnes.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 18.186 mln tonnes of the grain throughout 2.997 mln ha (71%). The average yield reached 6.07 t/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 190 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 149 thsd ha (100%). The average yield totaled 1.27 t/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 103 thsd ha (98%). The production volumes totaled 188 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.83 t/ha, according to APK-Inform.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 12.752 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 5.716 mln ha (97%), with the average yield of 2.23 t/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 3.83 mln tonnes of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.696 mln ha (92%), with the average yield of 2.26 t/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of November 8, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 6.844 mln ha (93% of the plan), up 328 thsd ha compared with the same date last year.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 5.836 mln ha (94%), winter rye – 157 thsd ha (106%), and winter barley – 851 thsd ha (83%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 819 thsd ha (113%).
