The FINANCIAL — To date, Ukrainian agrarians sowed grains throughout 15 mln ha, the forecasted volumes of grain production total nearly 46-47 mln tonnes, declared Nikolay Prysiaghniuk, the Minister of Agrarian Policy, on June 2.
N.Prysiaghniuk informed that according to date of the Ministry, sowing areas of spring grains have satisfactory condition.
At the same time, the Minister informed that to date, Ukraine and neighbouring markets, especially the Russian Federation, have the problem of rather high carry-over stocks of grains, which will possibly influence the price policy on the domestic market of Ukraine. N.Prysiaghniuk announced that the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation provided the proposal to the Government of Russia to financially stimulate grain exports from the country. Such steps will threaten the grain industry of Ukraine, marked N.Prysiaghniuk.
However, according to the Minister, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has already provided the meeting devoted to the forthcoming harvesting campaign, which included the following issues: cheapening of motor fuels in the period of harvesting works, financial supporting of the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine for purchasing of grain carry-over stocks on the domestic market, and etc.
