The FINANCIAL — In 2015/16 MY, the exports of feed corn from Ukraine will show the minimum volumes for 3 recent seasons. Decreasing the grain harvest volumes due to the reduced planted areas and dry weather conditions, established in the period of crop ripening, became the main reason for such decline on the market.
So, in the period of October 2015 -April 2016 Ukraine supplied 13.7 mln tonnes of feed corn on foreign markets, down 2% only compared with the same period in 2014/15 MY (14 mln tonnes). But it should be noted that the reporting volumes formed 91% of the general export potential, which in the current season is estimated by APK-Inform Agency at 15.1 mln tonnes.
As a reminder, last season Ukraine exported nearly 19.6 mln tonnes of corn, and in 2013/14 MY – 19.8 mln tonnes.
