The FINANCIAL — In the first half year of 2010/11 MY (July-June), Kernel Group, one of the largest Ukrainian operators of sunflower oil market and grain exporter, supplied 1.25 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, including 0.86 mln tonnes in the forth quarter, according to the company report.
Kernel Group considers that in the second half year of 2010/11 MY the company has the great potential of grain exports increasing, but the potential highly depends on the Government policy.
As a reminder, grains export quotas, imposed by the Government of Ukraine in the beginning of October 2010 till December 31, 2010, were prolonged till March 31, 2011. At the same time, the total quotas volume was increased by 1.5 mln tonnes – till the level of 4.2 mln tonnes.
Kernel Group received quotas for exports of 618 thsd tonnes of grains from October 2010 till April 2011.
