The FINANCIAL — Ukraine International Airlines (Kyiv) suffered losses of UAH 29.14 million in January – March 2009, the company reported.
Net revenue grew by 4.49% or UAH 15.494 million to UAH 360.881 million in the first quarter compared with the same period last year.
As Ukrainian News reported, Ukraine International Airlines made a net profit of UAH 17.312 million in 2008 with net revenue up 41.86% or UAH 532.858 million to UAH 1,805.744 million against 2007.
Ukraine International Airlines was set up in 1992.
The company's stockholders are the State Property Fund with 61.6%, Austrian Airlines with 22.5%, the Aer Cap company with 6%, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development with 9.9% of the shares.
The company's fleet consists of 17 Boeing airplanes: 16 passenger and one cargo aircraft.
