The FINANCIAL — Ukraine is ready to supply 2 mln tonnes of grains to China until the end of 2016, said Yaroslav Krasnopolskiy, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on August 11.
According to him, if the Chinese party is ready to receive such volumes, Ukraine will supply corn, wheat and barley through the Chinese company.
According to Ya.Krasnopolskiy, Ukraine plans to supply 3 mln tonnes of agricultural products to China by the end of 2015. However, 2016 will be difficult period to enter the market of China as the country provides its food requirements at the level of 94%. He added that the new quotas for 2017 will be considered in 2016 only.
In turn, Vladyslava Rutytska, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy on European Integration, reported that in the first half of 2015, Ukraine exported agricultural products to China at the sum of 783 mln USD.
