The FINANCIAL — The need of Ukraine in the port capacities for simultaneous storage of grains will double in the nearest five years, declared Andriy Pyvovarskiy, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, during signing of the memorandum between SE Illichivsk Commercial Sea Port and The Soufflet Group.
According to him, to date the capacities for one-time grain storage in the Ukrainian ports total 3 mln tonnes.
In the current MY, the transshipment volumes in the ports of Ukraine will total over 34 mln tonnes. To date, the country already reached the peak of its shipment abilities. If the agricultural industry provides more cargoes for shipment next year, then the ports will have problems, said the Minister, according to APK Inform.
