The FINANCIAL — As of April 30, Ukrainian agrarians planted spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 4.07 mln ha, or 57% of the plan. In particular, Ukraine planted early grains throughout 2.09 mln ha, or 91% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
At the same time, Ukraine planted spring wheat throughout 143 thsd ha (102%), spring barley – 1.57 mln ha (90%), oats – 209 thsd ha (89%), and peas – 170 thsd ha (98%).
Ukrainian agrarians continued planting corn – as of April 30, the grain planted areas reached 1.93 mln ha, or 24% of the planned areas, as opposed to 2.66 mln ha on the same date last year, according to APK-Inform.
Also, agrarians planted sunflower seed throughout 2.04 mln ha, or 47% of the forecast, and soybeans – 447 thsd ha (24%).
In addition, agrarians provided additional fertilizing of winter grains throughout 7.2 mln ha (91%), and winter rapeseed – 749 thsd ha (89%).
