The FINANCIAL — As of May 19, Ukrainian agrarians planted spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 6.903 mln ha, or 94% of the forecast, an increase of 0.42 mln ha compared with the same date last year, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, agrarians planted corn for grain throughout 4.203 mln ha (93%), buckwheat – 100 thsd ha (78%), millet – 63 thsd ha (52%), rice – 11 thsd ha (94%), and sorghum – 40 thsd ha (49%).
Also, Ukraine planted sunflower seed throughout 4.799 mln ha (92%), and soybeans – 1.659 mln ha (81%), according to APK-Inform.
