Ukraine planted spring grains throughout nearly 7 mln ha

The FINANCIAL — As of June 11, Ukrainian agrarians planted spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 6.864 mln ha, or 100% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukrainian agrarians planted corn for grain throughout 4.281 mln ha (98%), according to APK Inform.

Ukraine continued planting buckwheat, millet and rice. As of the reporting date, the planted areas of buckwheat reached 123 thsd ha (97%), millet – 92 thsd ha (100%), and rice – 12 thsd ha (103%). Also, agrarians planted sunflower seed throughout 4.787 mln ha, or 104% of the forecast, and soybeans – 2.002 mln ha (104%).
