The FINANCIAL — The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk charged the Ministry of Infrastructure and administration of Ukrzaliznytsya to complete all negotiations on organization of train traffic at the Trans-Caspian route, including tariff regulation issues and cutting of production costs for transportation of one container.
According to the Prime Minister, a new round of negotiations on the issue will take place held in Astana, Kazakhstan, in late February 2016.
The costs of one container total 5`500 USD. It is somewhat more expensive compared with the costs of traditional transit route through Russia. But if Ukraine manages to load the train, and if the Ukrainian and European businesses are interested in a new way of goods delivery, it will give an opportunity to reduce the costs of one container shipment, A.Yatsenyuk stressed.
Also, the Prime Minister urged to reduce the train shipping time to 10 days, against the current time of 15 days, according to APK-Inform.
