Ukraine raised customs duties on commodities imports from Russia

The FINANCIAL — On January 2, 2016, the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on launching of the import duty rates on the imports of commodities from the Russian Federation, and responsive cancellation of the free trade agreement with the country, came into effect, declared the press-service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Since January 2, the import duty preferential rates established by the Ukrainian customs tariff will be applied to all the goods originating from Russia, while the preferential regime towards the country will be canceled, according to which the zero import rate will be completely canceled, according to APK-Inform.

Such measures will last for one year period, according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers #1146 dd. December 30, which becomes invalid on December 31, 2016, or after termination of violations of the agreement on free trade area, by the Russian Federation.
