The FINANCIAL — SE Sea Commercial Port of Ilichivsk opened up the first stage of the grain transshipment terminal constructed by the stevedoring company JV Risoil Terminal, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on March 31.
According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy, Oleksiy Pavlenko, said the terminal is the largest import-export liquid bulk terminal in the Black Sea region, and plays the key role in the exports of crude sunflower oil from Ukraine. Also, the terminal provides intermediate storage services, in particular to the companies Cargill, Kernel and ADM.
To date, the terminal includes grain storehouse for 30 thsd tonnes of simultaneous storing, equipped with trucks unloading station, which allow unloading of nearly 120 vehicles daily. The carrying capacity of the storehouse totals 700 thsd tonnes of grains per year, said the Minister.
The silo facility includes 13 silos with the general capacity of 85 thsd tonnes of grain storage. In the future, the terminal will construct another 9 silos with the general capacity of 125 thsd tonnes, with the station for unloading of rail cars – to 220 cars daily.
The terminal still continues building trucks unloading station, equipped with four points of simultaneous vehicles unloading, which will allow unloading of nearly 400 vehicles daily. It is also planned to construct the complexes for grain drying and cleaning at 100 tonnes/hour in the port harbor, etc., added O.Pavlenko.
