The FINANCIAL — The consumer prices grew by 1.8% in January 2010 in Ukraine, compared with December 2009.
Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the State Statistics Committee.
According to the statement, the consumer prices of foodstuff and non-alcoholic beverages grew by 3.2%, prices for clothes and footwear went up by 0.1%, the rates of housing and utility services grew by 0.4%, the rates of services related to the health care grew by 0.5%, education prices by 0.2%.
In comparison with January 2009, inflation of January 2010 grew by 11.1%.
The Cabinet of Ministers expects Ukrainian inflation to be 9.5% in 2009.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in 2009 inflation made up 11.3%.
In 2008, inflation made up 22.3% and 16.6% – in 2007.
