The FINANCIAL — The consumer prices grew by 1% in January 2011, Ukrainian News has learned from a statement by the State Statistics Service.
In particular, the consumer prices for foodstuffs and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.3%, the prices for clothes and footwear went down by 0.1%, the rates for housing and utility services increased by 1.4%, the rates for services related to the health care by 0.4%, and education prices by 0.3% in January.
The inflation rate made up 9.1% in 2010.
In comparison with January 2010, the consumer prices rose by 8.2% in January 2011.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the inflation rate made up 0.8% in December 2010, and 9.1% in 2010.
The consumer prices grew by 12.3% in 2009, and by 22.3% in 2008.
