The FINANCIAL — Ukrainian agrarians started additional fertilizing of winter crops areas, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Oleksiy Pavlenko on February 19, according to APK-Inform.
Taking into account favorable weather conditions, 16 oblasts of Ukraine started additional fertilizing of winter grains, and already realized such works throughout 582.1 thsd ha, or 9% of the forecast. In addition, agrarians provided additional fertilizing of winter rapeseed throughout 84.4 thsd ha (15% of the forecast), said the Minister.
At the same time, he specified that agrarians provided such works throughout the large-scale areas in Odessa oblast – 130.5 thsd ha (16% of the forecast), Kherson oblast – 79.2 thsd ha (20%), Khmelnytsky oblast – 65.4 thsd ha (25%), and Vinnitsa oblast – 55 4 thsd ha (13%).
