Ukraine to complete the planting campaign in 7-10 days – Ministry of Agrarian Policy

The FINANCIAL — The planting campaign in Ukraine was somewhat delayed due to the drought processes. Agrarians will complete the crop planting works in 7-10 days, declared the director of the Department of farming agriculture and technical policy in the agricultural sector at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vladimir Topchiy on October 19.

But according to recommendations of the scientists, the autumn planting works should complete on October 20.

Also, V.Topchiy informed that as of October 19, agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 613 thsd ha (74% of the plan).

At the same time, Chernihiv, Donetsk and Khmelnytsky oblasts have already planted winter crops throughout all planned areas. Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts showed the most significant schedule delay, and agrarians of the oblasts planted winter crops throughout less than 41% and 48% of the forecasted indices, respectively.
