The FINANCIAL — As of November 12 Ukraine harvested grains and leguminous plants (including maize) throughout the areas of 14.5 mln ha (99% from the forecast), produced 41.1 mln tonnes of grains, average yield totaled 28.3 c/ha (last year – 30.7 c/ha), stated the announcement of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
According to the announcement Ukraine harvested maize for grains throughout he areas of 2.556 mln ha (96% from the forecast), produced 11.7 mln tonnes of grains, average yield totaled 45.7 c/ha (50.2 c/ha in 2009)
The country harvested sunflower throughout he areas of 4.4 mln ha (99.6% from the forecast), produced 7.1 mln tonnes of sunflower seeds, the average yield totaled 16 c/ha (15.8 c/ha last year)
Soybean harvesting areas total 1.061 mln ha, up 420 thsd ha compared to the last year level. As of the reporting date Ukraine harvested soybean throughout he areas of 1.024 mln ha (97% from the forecast), produced 1.6 mln tonnes of grain, the average yield totaled 16 c/ha (16.5 c/ha last year)
Ukraine finishes sugar-beet harvesting campaign, which should be harvested throughout the areas of 496 thsd ha, up 175 thsd ha compared to the last year level. The country harvested sugar-beet throughout the areas of 484 thsd ha (97% form the forecast), produced 14.4 mln tonnes (last year the country produced 9.8 mln tonnes), the average yield totaled 207 c/ha (311 c/ha last year).
