Ukraine to increase the planted areas of spring crops to 15.2 mln ha

The FINANCIAL — According to preliminary estimations by APK-Inform analysts, the planted areas under spring crops (including re-planting of winter crops) in Ukraine in 2016 will reach 15.2 mln ha, an increase of 7% compared with 2014 (14.1 mln ha), declared the analyst at APK-Inform Agency, Andrew Kupchenko on February 10.

The expert noted that to date, less than half of the questioned agrarians is completely resourced for the further planting campaign. In particular, only 47% of agrarians reported that they are secured with seeds at 60-100% of the demand.
