The FINANCIAL — As of September 5, agricultural enterprises of the country already planted winter grain crops for the harvest-2019 throughout the areas of 61.8 thsd ha, or 1% of the plan (7.205 mln ha), reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, the planted areas under winter wheat and triticale totaled 60.8 thsd ha (1% of the plan), spring barley — 0.7 thsd ha, and winter rye — 0.3 thsd ha. In addition, the planted areas under winter rapeseed reached 741 thsd ha (83%).
Also, agrarians continued harvesting grains and pulses: the planted areas reached 10.052 mln ha (68%), the production — 34.8 mln tonnes, with the average yield of 3.46 t/ha. In particular, the production of buckwheat reached 46 thsd tonnes, while the harvested areas — 35.9 thsd ha (33%), with the yield of 1.28 t/ha. Agrarians harvested 41.3 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 25.9 thsd ha (49%), with the yield of 1.6 t/ha. Agricultural producers started harvesting corn for grain, and already produced 353.1 thsd tonnes. The harvested areas reached 63.5 thsd ha (1%), with the yield at 5.56 t/ha.
At the same time, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 1.577 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 804 thsd ha (13%), with the average yield of 1.96 t/ha; and 224.6 thsd tonnes of soybeans throughout 91.8 thsd ha (5%), with the yield of 2.45 t/ha.
