The FINANCIAL — According to RIA Novosti, Ukraine's emergencies ministry corrected on January 18 its press release on the deadly hospital blast in southeastern Ukraine, saying that three people were killed.
Hundreds of people were in the building in the city of Lugansk when an oxygen cylinder exploded in an intensive care unit on the fourth floor. Several stories caved in. The earlier statement said five people died.
"Three people have been rescued from rubble, and three bodies found," the corrected version reads.
City authorities said seven people were injured in the blast. Voices can be heard from under the rubble, and rescue operation is continuing.
