The FINANCIAL — Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman spoke about the importance of Georgia-Ukraine cooperation at the Tbilisi Belt & Road Forum. “We are happy for Georgia’s success and I am confident that your leadership in the region will contribute to our economic development,” – Volodymyr Groysman stated.
When talking about the importance of the Forum, Volodymyr Grossman noted that the second session of the Tbilisi Belt & Road Forum is of highest significance since it promotes the improvement of ties between Europe and Asia. In addition, the Prime Minister of Ukraine mentioned the ferry transportation in the Black Sea region: “We plan to reduce the transportation tariffs up to 60% thus making this direction even more competitive,” – Volodymyr Groysman commented.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine also emphasized on the development of the corridor between East and West: “There are serious directions between Asia and Europe as well as the Baltic states. In terms of these corridors, Ukraine can be a reliable partner. As the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated, by means of railway and ferry services, we are able to create a union between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.”
Volodymyr Groysman reviewed Ukraine’s economic development and the Free Trade Agreement with the EU focusing on the infrastructure and communication development, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
