The FINANCIAL — Universal Card, the most popular bonus card in Georgia, is celebrating one year since its establishment on the Georgian market.
Unicard entered the market on 7 April 2010 and since then has served over 600,000 card holders in Georgia with the total number of prizes given out amounting to 400,000.
The company also plans to issue a new Spring-Summer catalogue soon which has been created based on observations of customer trends and their behaviour on the market.
As Ana Koshadze, Public Relations Manager at Unicard told us, the new catalogue will have 1,500 prizes in it.
“Customers will be receiving a number of offers even as early as this month, in cooperation with our partner companies. First people will get triple bonus points at Elit Electronics and other types of sales actions there.
In addition together with Collezione, Steve Madden, and Safilo, card holders will get double points and sales on their new collections,” declared Koshadze.
As well as prizes, Unicard has recently been involved in charity activities too. On 7 April 2011 Unicard celebrated its birthday together with 4 State Care Agency orphanages (those of Satnoeba, Momavlis Sakhli and Tbilisi orphanages). 160 vulnerable children participated in entertainment held in Mtatsminda Park (Bombora). They were also invited to an open cafe for dinner at the end of the day. All of the orphans received interesting presents and had a slice of the large cake Unicard provided.
The Unicard network encompasses the majority of Georgian retail stores and large companies. It is currently available in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi and Rustavi.
The company also uses facebook as a successful marketing tool by running various competitions on it, most recently about the design of the Spring-Summer catalogue.
Now its official page on facebook – http://www.facebook.com/unicard.ge?ref=ts&sk=wall – has accumulated 27,093 likes, which is one of the largest of any Georgian company.
Unicard will have new offers for Addidas and Reebok at the end of April too.
According to Koshadze Wissol Petrol coupons, Geocell services, home appliances, computer technology and jewellery are still the top five most popular gifts at Unicard.
“Gifts at Unicard are accessible from 12 points and up. The most expensive is a laptop – at 15,619 points, however in the catalogue a much lower point laptop is available at 4,988 points,” Koshadze said.
