The FINANCIAL — Highly popular bonus card with already 300 000 cardholders has reached Adjara, Black Sea region of Georgia. 10 000 Unicard-s have been distributed within first 10 days, with more than 2000 transactions made daily.
As FINANCIAL was told by Revaz Charkviani, Marketing and Sales Head at UNICARD, the plan is to reach 500 000 users by December 2010.
Unicard has entered the market in the beginning of April 2010. Unicard network includes more than 200 Georgian and international brands and can be used in over 700 locations in Georgia. Bonus card has covered almost all interesting market sectors as petroleum, food retail, pharmacy, consumer electronics, sport and outdoors etc and will expand to all other sectors not covered yet. Currently owners are welcome to collect the points with Unicard in the following well-known brands as: Aversi, GPC, Wissol, Goodwill, Ioli, Gmart, Amirani & Rustaveli cinemas, Geocell, ElitElectronics as well as in BEKO, IKKS, Maspindzelo, Elvis, NIKE, Polo, Roberto Bravo etc. At the moment Uncard is available at the most of above mentioned brands having their branches in Adjara along with the number of local brands as Marcelle and Gold Fish Restaurants, Prestige, Oasis, Cameo, Liza and Martini Hotels, LaVita and Laguna cafes, Old Batumi and Kalata supermarkets and Textil Shop Bravo etc. New points are frequently added, therefore more brands will become the member of Unicard’s chain soon- says Revaz Charkviany.
“Throughout the summer time demand on our cards will be very high in Adjara as far as 10 000 Unicards have already been taken out. We already have more than 50 sales spots already equipped with Unicard services with over 2000 transactions made daily. Owners of this card can accumulate points along the way travelling to Adjara, in majority of hotels, during shopping, entertainment, in the pharmacies, etc,” says Charkvniani.
“The card is universal by meaning and as if we go through with its functionalities. Every day 100 requested prizes are issued to the users. There are about 1500 prizes in catalogue, so everyone can find their priority prize. Cardholders are available to get the prizes, starting at the minimal 15 points, as for example 30 SMSs from Geocell, or exchange their 21995 points for the higher prize as 14 diamonds golden bracelet. By the way the most popular prizes are Geocell services, petrol coupons from Wissol, and home appliances”.
