The FINANCIAL — Viacom Inc. announced a profit for fourth quarter that lost ground from last year, according to Nasdaq.
The company said its bottom line came in at $614 million, or $1.54 per share. This was down from $729 million, or $1.71 per share, in last year’s fourth quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts’ estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 5.0% to $3.79 billion. This was down from $3.99 billion last year.
