The FINANCIAL — “We cannot imagine European future without Georgia – and the important place it occupies in the European family. Georgia is undoubtedly an integral part of European culture, history and civilization. However, we have yet to work towards closer political co-operation” – Vice President of European Parliament Ryszard Czarnecki said after his meeting with the Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze in Brussels.
I think the upcoming Eastern Partnership Summit will be yet another step forward for Georgia and other countries. We should open doors to cooperation not only in the economic direction but also on the political level”, Czarnecki said, adding the EU should show Georgia and other countries of the region the real prospects for integration.
The Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze is paying a two-day visit to Brussels. Within his visit Janelidze has met with different political groups, while tomorrow he will address members of the European Parliament at the Committee on Foreign Affairs, according to MFA of Georgia.
