The FINANCIAL — VTB Bank (Georgia) in partnership with VISA international introduces to its consumers new, hi-tech mobile application for payments – Mobile pay. Mobile pay is the first contactless payment app on the Georgian market.
Starting today, you will no longer need a wallet, banking card or a sticker to purchase desired item or a service. Through the Mobile Pay app you will make an easy purchase of a desirable item by waving mobile phone near the POS – terminal.
Mobile Pay grants consumers opportunity to make contactless payments using any VTB Bank (Georgia) card. Application allows uploading unlimited number of cards and the customer can easily choose which card to use during the payment process. Besides, using the app and making payments is free of charge for the VTB Bank (Georgia) clients.
Mobile Pay may be used anywhere around the world, where Visa payWave (contactless) terminals are available. The app features three safety levels, excluding possibility of fraudulent payments. The app may be used without active internet connection
Mobile Pay is already available at Google Play Store. Using the app requires a Smartphone with Android OS (4.4 or later version) with NFC support.
The application, platform and solution were developed by the PriNum. Provider company is Ukrpay.
Chief Retail Business Officer of VTB Bank (Georgia), Mr. Valerian Gabunia, stated:

Payments through NFC system are introduced only in few countries around the globe. In Georgia, the service is available only to clients of VTB Bank (Georgia). Mobile Pay makes any payment more comfortable and simple, both in Georgia and abroad“.
