The FINANCIAL — The international restaurant chain Wendy’s has granted an award to Georgian Wendy’s for its past 5 years of success, in particular its dynamic development pace, outstanding sales data, increased customer traffic and brand image delivering on promise of food safety, taste, friendliness and overall customer service.
The award ceremony was held at the biggest Wendy’s restaurant in the world – at 26 May Square in Tbilisi.
“I would like to thank the Wendy’s Georgia team and congratulate them on 5 successful years on the Georgian market and wish them a further 5 more successful years in the future. We have grown, are continuing to grow, and will need to discuss how we are going to proceed in 2019 and further on in the future, to build a better future for Wendy’s and for the whole team.
“It’s fantastic to provide recognition of the team for the great work they have done, and the great partnership we have built. Our main value is quality: quality of food; quality of service; and quality of people. We are pleased with this great cooperation with Georgia, therefore we are continuing to expand Wendy’s network across the country,” said Rajeev Sabharwal, Managing Director and Vice President Asia Pacific & EMEA.
Over the past 5 years 10 Wendy’s restaurants and 4 cafés have opened in Georgia, across several different districts of Tbilisi, as well as in Gori, Batumi and Kutaisi. The further expansion of locations is planned.
“I think it was a very successful 5 years. It is unbelievable that we opened the first Wendy’s restaurant in Georgia in the former building of the post office on Rustaveli Avenue just 5 years ago. People’s positive feedback has been a precondition for its successful expansion. The branches are full of people wanting to taste Wendy’s food, while five years ago many Georgians did not even know about our products,” John Pain, Managing Director and Vice President Asia Pacific & EMEA, said at the event.
According to Pain, Georgian customers really appreciate quality of food. “There is excellent food in Georgia. Taking this into consideration, we are preparing food from local products. In 5 years we have grown rapidly. As the time goes on, more and more Georgians visit our network. “Wendy’s restaurant offers delicious food, comfort, and affordable prices – that’s why our network has the special trust of customers,” John Pain stated.
George Mshvildadze, General Director of JSC WenGeorgia, said, “It was a very important day for Wendy’s Georgia. The award that we received is the greatest recognition of all that has been accomplished in five years thanks to the individual merit of each employee, each team member. We have a very cheerful young team, we love our work and are looking enthusiastically ahead to the future.”
Wendy’s Georgia has even offered some innovative ideas to the main Wendy’s network, such as a game zone, which is only to be found in Georgia.
“We have the best partnership with Wendy’s International Representation. They are thoroughly satisfied with the achievements of Wendy’s Georgia. All of the ideas we come up with become topics of discussion and garner further support from them. They are giving us very important advice which we take into immediate consideration due to their global experience.” Mshvildadze said to The FINANCIAL.
“The 5 Years of Success Award only makes us stronger, to continue our development full of new ideas, full of desire that the products we offer will be with the same high quality taste yet made with new healthy products daily, and the environment we offer in our restaurants will be always different, pleasant, and specifically tailored to the Georgian market,” said George Mshvildadze, General Director of JSC WenGeorgia.
