The FINANCIAL — Logitech International (SIX: LOGN) (Nasdaq: LOGI) on February 8 announced that Werner Heid, age 49, has joined the company as a senior vice president, responsible for worldwide sales and regional marketing.
"Mr. Heid assumes the executive management responsibility for Logitech’s retail sales in the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions, as well as for worldwide sales to OEM customers. He reports directly to Gerald P. Quindlen, Logitech president and chief executive officer." Logitech reports.
Mr. Heid brings to Logitech a wealth of experience as a senior executive in high-technology companies. Mr. Heid served for five years as the president and chief executive officer of Iomega Corporation, the provider of consumer and small-business data-storage solutions. Before joining Iomega, Mr. Heid was the executive vice president of global sales and marketing for InFocus Corporation, a leading supplier of multimedia projection systems for consumers and business. He joined the company when InFocus acquired Proxima Corporation, where Mr. Heid served as president. Prior to taking on his leadership role at Proxima, Mr. Heid was with Hewlett-Packard Corporation for twelve years, in both Europe and the United States. At H-P, he led the business definition and the successful global market launch of the company’s All-In-One and color copier product businesses.

A native of Germany, Werner Heid holds a masters degree in electrical engineering from University Karlsruhe in Germany.
