The FINANCIAL — Whirlpool Corporation has been named as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune Magazine for the sixth consecutive year. The company was ranked No. 1 in the Home Equipment, Furnishings industry and was recognized for attributes including: innovation, financial soundness, global competitiveness and quality of products and services.

The annual list ranks companies in a number of industry sectors including electronics, engineering, consumer food products and beverages, according to Whirlpool.
Fortune’s World’s Most Admired rankings is an annual list which reflects observations and opinions of executives who rate their peers and competitors in nine different categories including innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, long-term investment, financial soundness, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness.
