The FINANCIAL — Wissol Petroleum, one of the leading oil distribution companies in Georgia, is offering the new GPS/GPRS service of fleet tracking, Go Live, to its corporate clients. The technical innovation will help companies to save fuel expenses by up to 35-45%.
“The innovative product Go Live was created exclusively for Wissol corporate clients through integration of a GPS/GPRS device and Wissol’s corporate plastic card system which has no analogue in Georgia,” says Nino Dgvepadze, Marketing Director of Wissol. “The company has 8 years of experience of serving corporate clients with plastic cards and has the widest base of such customers,” she added.
The Go Live system enables Wissol corporate clients to track their fleet of vehicles and control fuel expenses in real time, online, 24 hourly, not only in Georgia itself but also abroad, provided their being under the roaming coverage zone of Georgian mobile operators.
“Fuel expenses cannot be avoided and yet such expenses are becoming too costly for many companies. Currently oil prices are slightly reduced but this won’t last for long. Prices of oil will soon start going up again,” Samson Pkhakadze, Chairman of the Wissol Board of Directors and one of the founders of the company, told The FINANCIAL. He says that the new product will help customers to save money.Â
The Go Live system is designed to automatically register, centralize and stock fleet movement and fuel pump and consumption data. It can report not only kilometres driven but also control that the kilometres are covered according to the company’s planning and being used only for organization purposes. In the case of a fleet vehicle deviating from its proper route the manager will receive an SMS straightaway. Furthermore the system reports on fleet location, filling up and reduction of fuel from a car’s tank, fuel consumption dynamics, hours of engine functioning, fleet stop and idle time, speed and date and time the fleet visits places en route. The information is transmitted via satellite and presented on satellite maps and graphical format online on Wissol’s web page. Widely used in many other countries, the system prevents fraud and only allows gas supply to the registered fleet, thereby economising time and work force.
Dr. Pkhakadze explains from the company’s own example that with Go Live a company will save 40% of Wissol fuel expenses.
“Wissol has 23 trucks for fuel transportation. Previously we had subjective control of our drivers but now it will be done technically. Our company has already increased optimization of expenses. We are offering the same to our corporate clients.”
“In the past we frequently came across incidents of drivers taking oil from company tanks. However now that has been made impossible. Another advantage of the new system is the optimization of routes and their total control. Drivers are a part of society which should always be under the control of their employers,” Dr.Pkhakadze says.
The Go Live system is easy to use and flexible as it is possible to adapt the system and the content of accounting based on the demands of corporate clients.
The Go Live system gives Wissol corporate clients the chance to replenish their cards without having to enter a Wissol office. Clients can re-distribute products or services on individual cards, set and change limits of any type online on the company’s webpage.
“Our team was working toward the completion of this project for several months. The company conducted market research, enquired in to organizations’ affairs and found out what their main demands were. Our goal is the total optimization of fuel expenses. Archives of trucks’ movements will be catalogued and kept for a period of one year,” Vasil Khorava, Director General of Wissol Petroleum Georgia, declares.
Currently Wissol has 4,000 corporate clients. Due to the Go Live system the company presumes that this number will increase by 20-30%.
“Against the background of the economical crisis most companies were focused on optimization of expenses. Wissol ordered technical equipment to the company My GPS. For a GEL 45-50 package per month we offer corporate clients the free installation of technical equipment,” Khorava notes.
Wissol ensures its clients – companies with vehicles of all sizes – integrated business solutions that meet their needs and contribute to the maximization of their profits.
“The Go Live system is most attractive for construction and distributing companies, as the system enables managers to accurately track whether a car carrying frozen materials or cement mixers is following instructions on how long to allow the freezing or mixing, and that the delivery of the product occurs in the right way,” Dr. Pkhakadze says.
Wissol has 14% growth in retail sales according to the results of four months of 2009 in comparison with last year.
