The FINANCIAL — Company Total, one of the world’s major oil and gas groups based in France plans to expand its partnership with Wissol, one of the largest oil importers in Georgia.
Wissol is an exclusive importer of automobile oils and lubricants of French Total in Georgia. French Total representatives consider the partnership with Wissol effective and are proud to have such a successful business partner in Georgia.
Company Wissol together with its French partners in Tbilisi opened new Wissol Auto Express service centres at Tornike Eristavi Street and on the right bank of the River Mtkvari last week and discussed their business development plans. Total plans to import marine lubricants in Georgia together with company Wissol.
“We are observing the current economic developments in Georgia. The sales of Total lubricants at the five service centres of Wissol Auto Express are very successful. Georgia as a corridor between Europe and Asia is becoming more and more attractive for the transportation of cargo and passenger ships. In my opinion we will also be very successful in the sales of marine lubricants together with Wissol,” said Jean-Louis Bonenfan, Europe and CIS Countries Zone Director of Total.
“The partnership Total has with company Wissol is really a winning one, for sure. We plan to have a long term relationship and partnership. We always try to stay active and offer Georgian consumers some new products. Our capacity for success is the link between the highest quality of products and services. When we take a look at the quality of Wissol sales and its successful business, it’s no doubt for us that importing marine lubricants will also be successful. I am proud to be a partner of Wissol in the country Georgia. We do think that if a company doesn’t move it will die so we will definitely remain active in Georgia and offer something new to our consumers together with company Wissol,” Bonenfan said.
According to Samson Pkhakadze, Chairman of the Wissol Board of Directors, the company has been holding negotiations with Total for one year.
“As you know Total is among the world’s leading oil giants and we are happy that we have signed an agreement with them. We are distributing oil and lubricants throughout the whole territory of Georgia. This is the fifth service centre of Wissol Auto Express that we have opened. Soon one more branch will be added,” Pkhakadze said.
“We are planning to increase the number of Auto Express service centres and by the end of the year we plan to open from 12 to 15 branches. Within 3 years our strategy is to have about 50 service centres. We are selling the highest quality French oils and have the highest quality service. The Auto Express network has no analogue in Georgia and it is additional comfort for all our customers that use our fuel, lubricants and oils. We want to offer Auto Express service all around Georgia and we will soon add service centres in Batumi and Kutaisi,” Pkhakadze said.
“I visit Georgia every one to two months and every time I arrive here, there is always something new happening in the company. We are really glad and impressed with company Wissol’s business and Total is really proud to be its partner. I hope I will be coming here more often to see such kinds of big developments. We hope that we will have some new offers together with the company Wissol and will much expand our business here in Georgia,” Jean Michel Hieronimus, Managing Director of Total told The FINANCIAL.
“I do think that importing marine lubricants in Georgia together with Wissol will be as successful as the import of oils and lubricants for car trucks. We always remain positive about developing business with such successful partners as Wissol,” Hieronimus said.
“As you can see, our company successfully cooperates with French Total. This business is very much connected with our main business, the retail sales of fuel and diesel on the Georgian market. We are oriented on the quality of services and we are oriented on offering a complex service to our customers. Being oriented on service is one more success for our company in order to maintain customers’ loyalty,” said Vasil Khorava, Director General of Wissol.
Wissol Group is one of the largest commercial groups in Georgia. It is the leading player in the energy sector. Since 2007 the Group has been represented in the market by its sub-brands: Wissol Petroleum Georgia, Wissol Gas, Air Wissol, Wissol Bunkering and Wissol Gas Distribution Company.
