The FINANCIAL — Wizz Air on January 16 announced a new route from Wroclaw to Bari, Italy.
The new service will commence on 31 March and operate with two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Seats on the new route are already on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com from EUR 14.99 / PLN 59.
Bari is the capital of southern Italy’s charming Apulia region, which is a popular tourist destination with sunny weather, whitewashed hill towns and a long Mediterranean coastline.
The first WIZZ flight took off from Wroclaw in 2006 and after four years of successful operations, the airline established base operations at Wroclaw Airport. In 2017, Wizz Air carried 475,000 passengers on its low-fare Wroclaw routes, which represents 30% growth year over year, according to Wizz Air.
Underlining its commitment to Lower Silesia, the airline has recently announced that it will base a second aircraft at Wroclaw Airport launching four new routes to Basel, Gothenburg, Kutaisi and Porto.
With its newest Bari service, Wizz Air now offers a total of 16 routes to 12 countries from Wroclaw.
Gabor Vasarhelyi, Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said: “We are delighted to add another exciting destination to our ever-growing Wroclaw network. Our low fares now connect Wroclaw with Bari providing our Polish customers with another great opportunity to spend a relaxing holiday at a year-round sunny destination. We urge our customers to book the lowest fares quickly on wizzair.com. Our friendly Polish crew looks forward to welcoming you on board one of our new aircraft with a smile!”
