The FINANCIAL — The 7th round of political consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers was held between the Foreign Ministries of Georgia and Uzbekistan, on 14 and 15 November 2017.
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides spoke about various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries emphasizing the importance of political, economic and humanitarian co-operation and the need to further develop the legislative base. Special attention was paid to the significance of further developing trade-economic co-operation and the possibilities of setting up joint ventures. Discussions also focused on the exchange of high-level visits.
The Georgian side provided the delegation of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan with detailed information on the difficult humanitarian situation in Georgia’s occupied regions. The sides agreed to further continue close co-operation. Next round of political consultations will be held in Tashkent, in 2018, according to MFA of Georgia.
