Cross-border project reconstructs border point at Ukrainian-Polish border

The FINANCIAL -- The ‘Hrabove’ unit on the Ukrainian-Polish border, reconstructed by an EU-funded cross-border cooperation project, was officially opened last week by the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Colonel-General Viktor Nazarenko and the Head of Volyn Oblast State Administration Volodymyr Hunchy.

Under the project, 30 administrative, residential, household and public buildings were reconstructed, with the installation of a water supply network, replacement of heating supply networks and construction of a new boiler-house and renovation of official apartments for the military personnel stationed at the unit, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.

The project was funded under the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine CBC Programme, which aims to provide support for cross-border development processes through increasing competitiveness of the border area, improving quality of life and people-to-people cooperation.
