The FINANCIAL — President Viktor Yanukovych has introduced First Vice Prime Minister-Minister for Economic Department and Commerce Andrii Kliuev into the council of regions.
This is disclosed in the presidential decree No.1120/2010 of December 13.
Besides, Yanukovych introduced seventeen chairmen of regional councils, Verkhovna Rada deputy of the People's Party-chairman of the parliamentary committee for budget Valerii Baranov, Kharkiv city mayor Hennadii Kernes, Odesa city mayor Oleksii Kostusev and Zaporizhia city mayor Oleksandr Syn into the same council.
The President has introduced a total of 22 people into the council.
At the same time, Yanukovych withdrew from the council former Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Anatolii Tolstoukhov, Housing and Public Utility Economy Minister Yurii Khivrich, Regional Development and Construction Minister Volodymyr Yatsuba and Economy Minister Vasyl Tsushko.
The President withdrew a total of 25 people.
Therefore, the number of council of regions members fell by three people to 73.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in April, Yanukovych created the council of regions as a conciliatory body for the development of regions.
