The FINANCIAL — President Viktor Yanukovych will travel to Moscow (Russia) on December 10 to attend a summit of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Yanukovych announced this at a meeting with Sergei Mironov, the leader of Russia's Federation Council (the upper house of parliament).
Yanukovych expressed the hope that he will meet with Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev while in Moscow.
In addition, Yanukovych said he was expecting to meet with Medvedev at the summit of the heads of state of the member-countries of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which will take place in Astana (Kazakhstan) from December 1 to 2.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Yanukovych met with Medvedev in Moscow on November 26.
No agreements were reached on energy issues and delimitation of the Kerch Strait were reached during the meeting.
