The FINANCIAL — Presidential candidate, leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych won 36.23% votes, and presidential candidate, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko received 24.59% votes, according to results of vote count of 70.41% protocols of district election commissions.

Serhii Tihipko won 13.03% votes, Arsenii Yatseniuk won 6.91%, Viktor Yuschenko 5.07%, Petro Symonenko 3.60%, Volodymyr Lytvyn 2.36%, Oleh Tiahnybok 1.37%, Anatolii Hrytsenko 1.20%, and Inna Bohoslovska 0.42%.
In addition, 2.22% of voters did not support any of the presidential candidates.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukraine elected president from 08:00 through 20:00 on January 17.
A total of 18 candidates contested the elections.
The Central Election Commission created 225 constituencies for the presidential elections.
