The FINANCIAL — Presidential candidate, leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych won 48.46% votes, and presidential candidate, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko received 45.87% votes, according to results of vote count of 83.95% protocols of district election commissions.
The Central Election Commission provided the data.
Yanukovych was supported by 10,152,081 electors, and Tymoshenko by 9,609,848.
Besides, 4.47% or 937,522 voters did not support any of them.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on Sunday, February 7 at 20:00 polling stations closed in the second round of the presidential elections, and the vote count started there.
Ukraine had to choose the president between Yanukovych and Tymoshenko who achieved the best results in the first round of the presidential elections on January 17, 2010.
