SWYP, a new web app from the porn streaming platform, YouPorn, which is owned by the proprietors of Pornhub, allows users to swipe through porn on their phones in a manner similar to how one views content inside the hyper-popular social media app, TikTok. While using the web app users are able to slide through GIF previews of videos at will, and depending on which direction they choose to slide the screen, the web app will react accordingly. According to the company, the method of discovering content is designed to provide users a more ‘distraction-free’ and seamless way of browsing videos that the site has to offer, Daily Mail reported.
Los Angeles-headquartered YouPorn — owned by MindGeek, which operates myriad related sites, including Pornhub — is one of the most popular pornography websites in the world and among the most visited websites overall, with a current Alexa ranking of 287. With YouPorn Swyp, the adult entertainment giant is introducing a new mobile-focused format for discovering content that has been personalized based on the user’s scrolling and swiping activity, Venture Beat wrote.

Obviously, since it delivers porn and not people doing weird things in grocery stores, that’s where the comparisons end. Though, there might be some grocery store porn. Your fetish is your fetish. Fly your flag. Just, not in the produce section. “At YouPorn, we are always trying to help our users discover their ideal adult entertainment experience. That is why we leverage more categories and are the first to deliver machine learning recommendations across all areas of the site,” says Charlie Hughes, Vice President of YouPorn, Forbes wrote.
In accordance to the company, the system of identifying written content is intended to offer buyers a far more ‘distraction-free’ and seamless way of searching videos that the internet site has to supply. In addition to becoming a much more functionally desirable way of browsing content material, the system states SWYP will also help suggest video clips by mastering users choice, ABC 14 News reported.
Hughes hopes the new app will offer a more “visually enticing” way to enjoy the website’s videos. However, YouPorn doesn’t want you to scroll through the previews endlessly. As you find videos to select and watch, the app will try to guess your preferences, and suggest others videos you may like. The bad news for fans is that YouPorn doesn’t have a standalone app on Google Play or Apple’s App Store due to their strict policies against pornographic content. As a result, the website created YouPorn SWYP as a web-based app, which uses the Chrome or Safari browser in your mobile phone to launch the service, according to PC Magazine.
