Yushchenko initiates weekly meetings of President, Prime Minister, and Speaker

The FINANCIAL — According to an UNIAN, president Victor Yushchenko held a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk and OU – PSD faction’s leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko.


Main subject of the discussion was arrangement of effective cooperation between President, Verkhovna Rada and Cabinet of Ministers. V. Yushchenko also named some strategic goals of this cooperation. Among them are increasing competitiveness of Ukraine’s economy, fighting corruption, invigoration of investment climate etc.


President also drew attention to the importance of his social incentives and expressed his whish that they are considered during 2008 budget preparation.

In order to enhance cooperation between government and President, V. Yushchenko suggested that consultations between President, Prime Minister and Verkhovna Rada Speaker are held regularly on weekly basis.

“Activity of all state authorities and all political powers should be aimed at realization of national priorities of Ukraine”, – V. Yushchenko said.
