The FINANCIAL — Zain Saudi Arabia, part of Zain group operating in 20 countries in the Middle East and Africa, Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) on September 14 announced the launch of the BlackBerry solution for Zain customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Zain customers will now be able to enjoy the benefits of enhanced communications and increased productivity by using a BlackBerry® smartphone to access email, browse the web and access a wide variety of other business and leisure applications on the move.

With Alcatel-Lucent managing integration and deployment, Zain Saudi Arabia can focus on delivering customer facing services, enabling the operator to quickly meet market demand," Alcatel-Lucent informs.

At launch Zain Saudi Arabia will offer customers the BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphones with the BlackBerry Internet Service. Now Zain customers in the Kingdom will enjoy the freedom of using a BlackBerry smartphone for staying connected to people and information whenever they wish.
