The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi is accepting applications from Georgian universities that would like to host English Language Fellows (ELF) in AY 2024-2025 and will be able to provide professional, logistical and cost-sharing support to ELF projects. Universities that fulfill all requirements listed in the request form are welcome to apply.
English Language Fellows are TEFL/TESL M.A. graduates who are using cutting-edge methodology to teach communicative English language skills. They serve as full-time EFL teachers and may teach up to 20 classroom hours a week.
Typical Fellow projects include teaching EFL, English for Specific Purposes (ESP) or American Studies. In addition, Fellows may participate in or organize related activities such as developing materials and lesson plans, conducting workshops and seminars for teachers or English language conversation/discussion club for students. Fellows may also participate in different outreach activities organized by host institution. These activities may include visits to other schools or universities, Window on America Centers at public libraries to meet with teachers or students and discuss different topics related to teaching English and American Culture.
