The FINANCIAL — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved STAXYN, a new formulation of Levitra (vardenafil HCI).
"STAXYN, a vardenafil 10mg orodispersible (orally disintegrating) tablet, is the first erectile dysfunction (ED) medication to be approved in an orodispersible formulation. STAXYN disintegrates on the tongue without liquid. Once available, it will be the only orodispersible ED tablet in the U.S. market. GlaxoSmithKline and Merck & Co., Inc., Bayer’s U.S. marketing partners, expect to make the medicine available by prescription later this year. In Europe, Bayer has submitted the product for marketing authorization and expects to receive approval in 2010," Bayer informs.
